EcoGecko Herpetofauna Conservation & Research Award
EcoGecko Consultants are pleased to announce the inaugural ‘EcoGecko Herpetofauna Conservation & Research Awards (EHCRA)’. The Conservation & Research Awards are intended to support the conservation and research of New Zealand’s herpetofauna (lizards, frogs or tuatara) by individuals, students and community organisations.
Eligibility & Criteria for the Award:
Suitable applicants may be:
- An individual OR a student undertaking a research project (Honours or MSc level or similar)
- A community organisation intending to undertake herpetofauna research or conservation
The Award will be granted to two applicants only to the sum of $1,000.00 each. Awards will be granted to one individual OR student project and one community project.
Selection of the winning projects will be based solely on the quality of the proposals and an assessment of the feasibility of the projects.
The closing date is 5pm on the 15th September 2011. Late applications will not be considered. The winning applicants will be notified by e-mail on the 30th September 2011.
Winner’s obligations: The winning applicants are required to acknowledge the Award in any publication or presentation of outcomes of the conservation or research involved. The winners and their projects will also be profiled on the EcoGecko website.
